Mississippi Civil Rights Museum Commission

Governor Barbour announced Thursday that former Mississippi Supreme Court justice Reuben Anderson and former federal appeals court judge Charles Pickering will cochair a commission to establish a Mississippi civil rights museum.

Wallace hearing could be Pickering redux

Mike Wallace was picked by the President to fill Judge Pickering's seat on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and some are predicting his hearing could be a "replay of brawl over Pickering nomination." Wallace's hearing will be on September 19 or September 26.
