Clyde Kennard

Charles Pickering helped lead a bipartisan, biracial group of prominent Mississippians to file a petition of exoneration on behalf of Clyde Kennard. The Forrest County Circuit Clerk agreed to the petition and ruled the conviction null and void and declared Kennard innocent.
