Kennard exoneration challenged

A white supremacist has challenged the Kennard exoneration. Pickering notes the guy has no legal standing and asked that his motion be denied. Said Pickering: "All we're trying to do is right a wrong and correct an injustice. He's appealing to fear."

Clyde Kennard

Charles Pickering helped lead a bipartisan, biracial group of prominent Mississippians to file a petition of exoneration on behalf of Clyde Kennard. The Forrest County Circuit Clerk agreed to the petition and ruled the conviction null and void and declared Kennard innocent.
